Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and work to protect the confidentiality of information you provide to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have regarding your information when using Tradevia.

Last Updated: December 2, 2025

This Privacy Policy applies to the Tradevia website, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Tradevia (“Tradevia,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

1. Who We Are and Scope

Tradevia provides a trade journaling and analytics platform that allows users to record trades, analyze performance, and generate reports. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding personal data and trade-related data collected through the Service.

This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, brokers, exchanges, or services that you may access through links or integrations. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

If you create an account using Google or X (Twitter), we receive basic identifiers such as your email address, name, and profile picture (if provided) in order to authenticate you and operate your account.

2.2 Trading and Journal Data

We collect trade and journaling data that you manually input, import, or upload (e.g., via CSV from supported platforms). This may include:

  • Trade entry/exit prices, dates, times, instrument symbols, and quantities
  • Profit/loss figures and performance metrics derived from your inputs
  • Notes, tags, strategy labels, screenshots or attachments (if you upload them)
  • Broker/import source metadata necessary to parse files correctly

2.3 Subscription and Billing Information

If you purchase a subscription, payments are processed by our payment processor (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full payment card numbers. We may receive billing-related information such as the billing email, partial card details (e.g., last 4 digits), payment status, and subscription identifiers necessary to provide the paid Service.

2.4 Support and Communications

If you contact us (e.g., email or in-app support), we collect the information you provide and may use account and diagnostic data to respond and resolve issues.

2.5 Device, Log, and Usage Data

We may automatically collect technical data about your device and how you interact with the Service, such as IP address, device type, operating system, browser, pages/screens viewed, timestamps, and events (e.g., imports, exports, errors). This information helps us secure the Service, prevent abuse, diagnose issues, and improve performance.

3. How We Use Information

We use information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Service (including journaling, analytics, reports, and exports)
  • Authenticate accounts and maintain session security
  • Process subscriptions, manage billing status, and provide paid features
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
  • Monitor, maintain, and improve reliability, performance, and user experience
  • Provide customer support and respond to requests
  • Send service-related communications (e.g., security alerts, important updates, transactional notices)

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or trading data to third parties for their marketing purposes.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only as described below:

4.1 Service Providers

We use trusted vendors to help operate the Service. These providers may process limited information on our behalf, subject to contractual confidentiality and security obligations. Examples include:

  • Stripe (payment processing and subscription management). We do not store full card numbers.
  • Google Firebase / Google Cloud (database hosting, authentication, logging, and related infrastructure).

4.2 Legal and Safety

We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to comply with law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tradevia, our users, or others.

4.3 Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

5. Public Sharing (If You Choose)

By default, your account data and trades are private. If the Service provides features that allow you to share trades, reports, or other content publicly or with other users, then any information you choose to share may become accessible to others depending on your sharing settings.

You are responsible for what you choose to share, including any personal information contained in notes, screenshots, attachments, or identifiers.

If you do not want information to be public, do not use public sharing features.

6. Cookies and Analytics

6.1 Essential Cookies

We use essential cookies or similar technologies necessary to provide core functionality, such as maintaining login sessions and remembering basic preferences.

6.2 Analytics (If Enabled)

We may use privacy-respecting, pseudonymous analytics to understand how the Service is used and to improve performance. Analytics may collect device and usage information (e.g., pages/screens viewed, actions taken, approximate location inferred from IP). We do not use analytics to sell your data or to build advertising profiles.

6.3 Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no consistent industry standard, we do not respond to all such signals in a uniform way. We continue to evaluate appropriate approaches as standards evolve.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data and trading history for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.

If you delete your account, we remove or de-identify your data from our live systems within a reasonable timeframe. Backups or logs may persist for a limited period for disaster recovery, security, and compliance purposes, after which they are overwritten or deleted in accordance with our retention practices.

8. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption in transit: TLS/SSL for data transmitted to and from the Service.
  • Encryption at rest: data stored within our database infrastructure (e.g., Firestore).
  • Authentication: OAuth-based login via Google and X; we do not store your passwords.
  • Access controls: restricted access for authorized personnel with role-based controls.
  • Monitoring: logging and monitoring to detect abuse and improve reliability.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work continuously to improve safeguards.

9. Authorized Support Access

If you request support or we need to diagnose an issue you report, authorized administrators may temporarily access your account strictly as necessary to resolve the issue.

  • Support sessions are authenticated, time-limited, and logged for auditing.
  • Administrator access does not reveal or permit access to your passwords or OAuth secrets.
  • Your data remains your property during and after any support session.
  • Support access is not used for marketing, surveillance, or unrelated analytics.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access: view information associated with your account.
  • Export: download your trade history and related data (e.g., JSON export).
  • Delete: delete your account and associated data by contacting support.
  • Correct: update certain account information through your profile settings.
  • Object/Restrict (where applicable): request limits on certain processing.

To exercise rights not available in-product, contact us using the details in the Contact section. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

11. International Users

Tradevia may be operated from United Kingdom | US and your information may be processed and stored in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your location. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in these jurisdictions.

12. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (for example by email or an in-app notice). Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Policy.
